My Soul was willing to Pray this morning, especially for the fact that it is the First day of the month, March 1st. It was not so easy to get myself to Thank God, cause my body was still enjoying the comfort of my bed. In the process of trying to convince myself that it’s by God’s grace that I am alive, using different tricks, until the right motivation came into my spirit, “Pray” by CIC started playing in my mind, I couldn’t just get over it, the song sounded like I have never heard it before, Wow! That song is beyond music, it’s a breathing message of life.
CIC has done it all from all angles of making fantastic music, “Pray” is a perfect example of his great talent. CIC ministered about God’s Love and Greatness on “Pray” “than 80% of most of our Gospel musicians would do on their own tracks. You could feel the purity of his worship to God, unlike when you listen to most of the Liberian gospel musicians around here, who struggle to get your heart focused on God because the message of their song is conflicting, Some of these songs sounds like confronting God to bless them, instead of properly seeking God’s grace through Thanksgiving so God can express his Glory and pour down blessings from heaven.
Two days from now would be the Late Quincy B’s 3rd year remembrance, a day that CIC almost lost his life too! But narrowly escaped with a broken leg. “Pray” is an output and a testimony of what happened in that Fatal Accident. A song that still draws our hearts to Thanksgiving years after. Good music doesn’t expire.
